Ask a student to locate that unfinished paper and usually it takes him forever because, let's face it...desks become a nightmare after a few days!

This is a simple solution to help organize student desks.

At the beginning of the school year, laminate (or you can purchase plastic folders) two pocket folders for each student. The colors are not important but I choose one color for "unfinished work" and one for graded/completed work. Students are requested to place the unfinished page into the "red" folder. Graded pages are put into the "blue" folder.

Just this one simple idea really helps to eliminate that scrambling to locate that paper than needs to be completed.
