When we teach our students about the shapes, we would like them to see these shapes in all things in nature and around our classroom. Here is a fun way to help your students identify shapes and to create an object with a cut and paste activity.

Can You Make This House?

Use this cut and paste activity to help your students "see" the shapes and to identify them in world objects.

*Show the students the completed picture on an overhead or smart board.
*Give each student a copy of the shapes page and a piece of construction paper.
*Ask students to cut out the pieces on the shapes page.
*Tell students that they need to figure out which shape goes on top of which.
*Ask students to draw additional items to make their pictures more complete. Add a sun, flowers, etc.
