Knowing the phonetic sounds can be key to a student 's ability to identify new words. Practicing the phonetic sounds daily with a phonics chart, along with daily or weekly practice pages can make all the difference for a child's reading growth.
Help your students recognize the beginning and ending sounds in short words, along with the vowel sounds.
Here is a helpful worksheet for ending consonant sounds.
Read aloud the word for each picture and ask your student to write the letter for the ending sound.
